Terms of use

Effective 2026-09-03 · These terms are between you and Jheremiah Figueroa ("we", "us").

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Centa you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy Centa Pro.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Centa on devices you own or control, subject to the App Store or Google Play terms that also apply. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law allows.

3. Purchases and refunds

Centa is free to use. Centa Pro is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under your store account; prices are shown in the store before you buy and may vary by country. Refunds are handled by the store under its policy: request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" or Google Play's order history. Restoring a purchase on a new device is done from Settings in the app using the same store account.

4. Not financial advice

Centa calculates figures such as "safe to spend today" from the information you enter. It is a planning aid, not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and it does not know about money you have not logged. You are responsible for your own financial decisions. Centa does not connect to banks, wallets or payment networks and never moves money.

5. Your data and backups

Your data stays on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups. If you lose your device or delete the app without a backup, the data is gone and we cannot recover it. Backup files are encrypted with a passphrase you choose; if you forget it, the backup cannot be opened by anyone, including us.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Centa for anything unlawful, do not interfere with the app or the app stores, and do not attempt to circumvent Pro purchase checks.

7. Updates and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features, or the app itself, at any time. Widgets, Live Activities and background refresh depend on your operating system and its rules, which we do not control. We aim for accuracy but do not promise the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

8. Intellectual property

Centa, its name, mark and design are ours. Your data is yours; we claim no rights over it.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Centa is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, savings or profits, arising from your use of Centa. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Centa Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or ₱500 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.

11. Termination

You may stop using Centa at any time by deleting it. We may end this licence if you breach these terms. Sections 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Metro Manila, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The effective date above will change and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
